Creamy and sweet with a hint of warm cinnamon, this Honey Lover’s Honey Cake will have you buzzing with joy!
It’s the strangest thing. No PB&J, no butter and jam on biscuits, no toast with jam or crepes filled with preserves.
You know when you go to a restaurant and they bring you the little containers of jam for your toast? Yeah…nope. My husband has to request honey. Every time. Because they don’t automatically bring out honey. Because…most people like jam.
Needless to say, we always have a jar of honey in the pantry. Because dry toast is a travesty and I simply will not be having such nonsense occurring under my roof. And it was with that in mind that I created…a Honey Lover’s Honey Cake.
This cake is a million percent from scratch, which isn’t always my thing, but this baby comes together beautifully. No fuss, no crazy ingredients, and the texture is perfectly spongy and (pardon my language) moist. There’s honey in the cream cheese frosting and in the lightly spiced cake, so it truly is a cake for the honey lover in your life! Add a drizzle of honey to the top (and a honeycomb if you have one handy) and you’ve got a real stunner on your hands!
