I have recently discovered something about my husband that makes me fear for our marriage.
He is anti-Daylight Savings Time.
He thinks that the land should just…do away with it. So it will just be the same all the time and nevah evah change.
How has this never come up before?? We even did the thing where you have meetings with the Pastor before you get married so he can vote on if you should get married. So our marriage has the stamp of approval from a PROFESSIONAL, is what I’m saying.
And now this.
Needless to say, I am pro Daylight Savings. Granted, I’m not a fan of springing forward, but considering that it’s sort of like visiting the future (one of my life dreams) I deal with it. Also, I know that it means I will eventually get to fall back.
Falling back is the best thing ever!! I mean here I am, always all blah blah, I don’t have enough time, blah blah, I wish there were more hours in the day and then BOOM — Mr. Time says “here you go, an extra hour for you. You are welcome, madam”.
It’s like Christmas in the land of time.
And I will take it, thank you very much.
In other news, remember how I said I had more Muddy Buddy recipes? Well, the other day when I was making the Muddy Buddy Truffles, I was like…why not Muddy Buddy Brownies? Brownies, chocolate, peanut butter and powdered sugar…that is a good thing, right?
So I whipped these babies up real quick and they were delicious. The end.
8×8 pan of brownies, baked and cooled (I used a Ghirardelli mix, which makes a small pan. If you want to use a box/recipe that makes a large pan, just double the topping)
1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar
2 TBS milk
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 stick butter
About a cup of powdered sugar
In the bowl of a mixer, beat 1 stick of butter, peanut butter, and vanilla until combined and smooth. Add powdered sugar and beat on medium high until combined. Add milk and beat on high for about a minute. Spread on pan of brownies and refrigerate for a couple of hours, until frosting is cold and firm.
Place 1 stick of butter and chocolate chips in a large microwave safe bowl. Melt in the microwave, stopping to stir at 20 second intervals. Once melted and smooth, cut brownies into squares and dip the top half of each in the chocolate. Place on a baking sheet and spoon powdered sugar over the top.
These were so yummy, I hope you enjoy!!
Have a fabulous Tuesday!!
