Junk Food Milkshake
This Junk Food Milkshake is truly swoon-worthy. Twinkies are blended right into the ice cream, making it perfect for junk food lovers!!
It’s Crazy Milkshake Monday!!
I realize that this might not be an actual holiday, but the good thing about being an adult is that you get to decide these things for yourself. And I’ve decided that Mondays are hard enough — we shouldn’t be expected to get through them without a massive glass of ice cream blended up with our favorite snack cakes. Can we get someone to pass this as a national law? Crazy Milkshakes for life!
Last December a few of my girlfriends and I went to New York to see the holiday lights, watch a couple shows, and eat our way through the city. While we were there, we visited Black Tap Craft Burgers and Beer to sample their famous milkshakes. It was honestly the highlight of our trip and I’m SO glad we got in when we did because they have BLOWN UP in the last few months!! A recent You Tube video that I watched showed a line that stretched around the block, taking FIVE HOURS to get in for a milkshake!! Can you even believe that is a thing??
Obviously, traveling to New York and waiting for five hours isn’t a thing for most of us. Which is why my friends and I want to tell you that you can TOTALLY make your own crazy milkshakes. And then share them on Insta and maybe you’ll end up trending and on the Today Show. I mean, who knows in this crazy world. If people are waiting five hours for a milkshake, maybe anything is possible.
This shake has Twinkies blended right into the ice cream. Honestly, it’s the only way I’m eating my Twinkies from now on. No turning back.
The key to sticking all the fun stuff to the sides of the glass is simple — spread a generous (but not too thick) layer of canned frosting on the glass, then stick on your favorite stuff. That’s it.
See what I mean? You can do this!!
Once you pour in your shake, start piling on the good stuff. Most shakes are thick enough to stand up to some toppings. You can also skewer some treats through a straw so it’s sticking through the top of the shake. Go crazy!!
When I was finished photographing this, I stuck it in the freezer to surprise my son when he got home from school. As soon as he saw it he exclaimed, “I can’t believe you had this shipped from New York!!!”
You know you have some crazy mail days when your child thinks that having a milkshake mailed to your house is in the realm of possibility. Bless.
If you’re looking for more Crazy Milkshakes to brighten your Monday, be sure to take a peek at the shakes my friends created! I need one of each!!

I am CRACKING UP!!!!
I am in love with this recipe and let me tell you why…partly because it looks…well…amazing(!) and partly because when I was in college one of my roommates introduced me to the wonder that is the frozen twinkie! I freeze them and then eat them…outside first, then the tube of frozen filling. So good. This reminds me of it!
What is junk food exactly and why I shouldn’t eat it? Junk foods are high calorie, low or no nutrition foods, usually in the form of biscuits, milkshake, chips, soft drinks cakes, ready-made sauces and some yogurts.
Thank you so much for sharing and keep it up.
You just tell us we need to do it.
