Find Your Summer Flavor with Cheddar’s!
This post is brought to you in partnership with Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. Thanks so much for supporting the brands that help make this website financially possible.
Hey friends, hey!
How often do you take your family out to eat? Can I ask you that? Is it weird for us to talk about that?
I ask because we don’t go out to eat very often. Not as a family, anyways. My husband and I have a date night once a week and we generally go out to eat (or pick up takeout to eat at the park), but the times we pack up the family and go out as a group are pretty rare.
Not because I don’t enjoy it, because I really do — but good grief, feeding four people in a restaurant costs five millionty dollars.
Right now we are smack dab in the middle of summer vacation and I am constantly itching to bust out of this place. Working from home, it seems like there are always kids underfoot and things are so much more hectic than usual. There are times I don’t even realize that I haven’t left the house for three days until I get in my car and realize that I’ve nearly forgotten how to drive.
Dinner? Bless. Please can we go out because the kitchen is hot and I am totally over it. Not to mention that I need an excuse to put on makeup and real pants and do peopley things.
Which just so happens to be why I love Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen so darn much. We have one about five minutes down the road (conveniently located right in front of a Target, I ain’t mad) and it’s honestly the PERFECT place to go when we are itching to get out for a bit and don’t want to spend a fortune. It’s nice and cool inside, the prices can’t be beat, and I can even enjoy a drink or two without taking out a loan. They also have the most GIANT booths, and if you have kids, you know how valuable this is. I swear Lucy needs at least five square feet for her Barbies, iPad, and coloring sheet.
Right now Cheddar’s has some really great summer flavors, as well as their traditional favorites. I love that while their menu might welcome some new additions, I can always count on them to offer fresh and healthy options along with some of my guilty pleasures (hello cheese fries) so I don’t have to hate myself when I leave. Right now they have several fun summer flavors like their Honey Hot Chicken Strips (offered on their chicken tender sampler platter), Citrus Miso Glazed Salmon, or their Knob Creek Peach Smash.
And right now all of you can START YOUR MEAL WITH FREE HAND-BREADED, MADE TO ORDER 5 PIECE CHICKEN TENDERS IN YOUR CHOICE OF ORIGINAL, HONEY HOT, or BUFFALO. I don’t know about you, but that is practically a meal for Lucy and I. Add a Knob Creek Peach Smash (or three) and I’m good to go.
To claim your FREE 5 piece chicken tenders, click here. No tricks — it’s seriously that easy!
Consider getting the apple crisp with ice cream before you leave. It’s my forever favorite. And snag those free chicken strips while you can!
Have a great weekend, friends!
