Lucy Goose turned 11 months old over the weekend.
I cannot BELIEVE I have almost finished documenting her first year. The next update post I do will be after her very first birthday party.
I’d love to say that I’ve got her whole party planned out…but I do not.
I ordered a super cute Olivia the Pig outfit with a matching tutu and reserved a room (ain’t nobody got time for cleaning the house after a party) but that’s about it. I’m thinking about doing cupcakes (maybe with sparkles or something?) for the guests, and then a smash cake for Lucy.
As far as other food/snacky type items…I am not sure. I’d love ideas if you have them!! I’m going for cute and yummy but not overly complicated.
This girl is a handful and a half. She’s now crawling normally (instead of the weird zombie drag she insisted on last month) and is pulling up on things. Not “cruising” yet, so I suspect it will be another month or even two before she takes her first steps.
Regardless — she’s into EVERYTHINGGGG.
She doesn’t like to stay still. She loves to swing, bounce, crawl, be thrown in the air, and chased. When she wants someone to chase her, she starts crawling super fast towards something she’s not allowed to have and giggling the whole way. Needless to say, I don’t do a lot of sitting.
She says, “Gog Gog” for Hot Dog (not the food, but the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Song) and “Da Da”. If you tell her “Hi”, she will wave hello and if you tell her “NO”, she will smile and shake her head.
Thankfully, she’s super cute, so that helps.
She’s got eight teeth total and a couple more that look to be on the way, which doesn’t help matters — she’s been teething nonstop since 5 months old.
We have moved on to normal food from baby food — she would no longer let me feed her, so I had to go finger foods all the way. She loves anything I put in front of her so far, especially cake. I’m really looking forward to seeing her eat her cake on her birthday!!
It has been such a crazy year — I have been exhausted, frustrated and more frazzled than I ever thought possible, but good grief is my heart ever full. This girl has completed me, and I love the way the boys treasure her. It’s so special to watch!!
Can’t wait to share her party with you next month!! Thanks for reading and sharing my sweet girl with me!!
