Pretzel S’more Candy

Do you ever look at all the ideas for food on the internet and feel like your face is gonna explode?

I do.

I basically hate Pinterest.

I don’t mean that I literally hate it, like my hatred of Regina George or smashed cauliflower pretending to be mashed potatoes, but a twisted kind of hate, like when I eat a King Size Almond Snickers and then want to go cry.

Which happened yesterday.

Stupid king sized candy bars.  Why do they even exist?

Anyways, I made these candies awhile back, thinking they’d be perfect for Valentine’s Day.  I love chocolate covered pretzels, I love s’mores, so pretzel s’mores are a necessary invention.

Theeeeeeeen a few days later I saw several versions of these on Pinterest.

Creativity fail.  Wop wop.

Anyways.  I’m short on time these days (babies don’t want you to accomplish anything ever.  It’s true.  Also, I kind of like watching TV and kissing a slobbery baby face), so I decided to post my not creative candy anyways.  They’re so so good, and great for Valentine’s Day.  Just box them up and give them to someone you love!!

Or keep them and eat them all.  I mean…who are we kidding.  I eat candy bars made for giants.

You don’t need a real recipe for these.

Just round up some Pretzel Crisps (they’re one of my favorite things ever.  I **think** they’re supposed to be healthy, but I cover them in chocolate or smear cream cheese on them, so there goes that), some chocolate almond bark, and some marshmallows.

Make it easy on yourself and buy the flat Stacker Mallows.  They don’t have to be heated up and flattened like round marshmallows.

You’ll also want some graham cracker crumbs or toffee bits or something to garnish the tops with.  To make them pretty and add a little flavor.

Melt your almond bark according to package directions.

Dab a bit on each side of your marshmallow, and sandwich it between two pretzel crisps.

Once the chocolate is set, dip the whole thing in melted almond bark and sprinkle some graham cracker crumbs on top.

I wouldn’t turn down a dozen of these, that’s fo sheez.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I did!!

Have a happy Thursday!!

Thanks for reading!! I put lots of love into this post, so if you enjoyed it, please leave a comment, share, or subscribe. (As you can probably tell, I'm in constant need of validation, so this keeps me from questioning my self worth and crying into a box of wine) If, by some chance, you didn't enjoy the post, take it up with my personal zombie ninja.
About Kristan
I’m a proud housewife with a son in the second grade and a sweet baby girl. Like most little boys, my son funny and cute but a little weird. Which only makes me love him more. And the baby? Well...I know she'll sleep eventually. If I could, I would paint my life pink, sprinkle it with glitter, and give everyone a cupcake.

Giant candy bars are basically the reason I have to wear yoga pants 6 days a week. I think they must be in business together.
In other news, I have never seen these before, therefore you invented them. Done.

I saw something like this on the dreaded Pinterest where you whip together a little butter, a lot of peanut butter and powdered sugar, form into balls and squish the balls between two pretzel thins. Then dip into chocolate. I’ve pinned your recipe right next to that one :)

Sometimes I get an idea and then I want to get up in the middle of the night and bake like a crazed person. Except I don’t because I like sleep. And I’m lazy.

This is like all my favorite things in one treat! It’s better than just eating marshmallows out of the bag….

I’ve gotta quit sending my husband to the store and start going myself….flat marshmallows? Pretzel crisps? Oh he’s been keeping me in the dark! Tomorrow’s goal for me is to put the baby down and go to the store.

Sometimes I hate Pinterest too. Just in a way because I get an idea and I’m all “I’m a creative genius” only to see fifteen other people already did this. Then I scrap the idea because I’m the new kid at “blogger school” and everyone will think I’m a copy cat…lol.

I hate pinterest because it makes me feel like a scatterbrain. I spend all this time pinning stuff like I’m going to go back an remember ANY of it. Like I really need ONE MORE place to remember that I saved stuff. Pft. I find it much easier to find awesome ideas on blogs and save them in my email, because I’m on that like a hawk.

Anyway, these look awesome.. as always!

Ditto. I too keep my recipe ideas in my email. Then I can forget about them or when I do remember I can easily find them — just type “Pretzel S’more Candy” in my search box. It’s also because I still don’t have a clue how to set up files on my computer. Keep trying to “cut and paste” — no luck. *Sigh.* I’m flying to Arkansas so Jon David can show me how. All eight year old boys know WAY, WAY, WAY more about computers than I do!

ummm, delicious. that’s what i’m thinking. but im staying off candy for a bit, and I’m guessing chocolate even in the bark form will break that for me. anyway, do you think this would work with normal mini pretzels instead of the crisps, cause i have a HUGE bag of those.

Psh, I think you have WAY better ideas than stuff I see on Pinterest, and no one else could compare to your posts and hilarity! I love Pinterest, but no matter how many different ideas I see a day, I still check your blog every day and read every word of your posts! You have inspired me and I have used more of your ideas than all my pins put together-and promise I give you credit every time, and constantly referring your blog to friends!! Thanks for still posting even though you have a little princess to take care of!!

I am so tired of all the creative people putting their crap all over Pinterest. It makes me seem so much less cool.

Love these, whether they were your idea or not. Those little pretzel crisps are my life.

I always think I’m super creative until I do a search on google or foodgawker and I see that I’m not original at all. Sad face. So whether you were the first to have this idea or not, it looks delicious :)

I don’t even like s’mores and I want this. The pretzel part won me over :-D

As for King sized bars, think of it this way… you can honestly say you ate just ONE candy bar. Sounds much better than saying “I ate 33 fun sized candy bars” hehe

these worked great but just a fyi, I used over two lbs of dark chocolate wafers to dip 37, had to sub 2/4 bag choc chips to finish the last 1/2 dozen or so. other than that they worked great.oh and the fact out of two 9.35 oz bags of crisps only 74 were not smashed to smithereens so I have to buy more bags and chocolate to make the 15 more I need for the favors for a shower. oh bother

forgot to add, next time ( and there will definitely be a next time lol) I might add a drip of Trader Joe’s salty caramel sauce to the top of the marshmallow ( I dipped bottom of stacker marshmallow then top of top pretzel to make sure they help together) before adding the top cracker. But they are really good this way as well, OK really, really good!l
