Last Minute Halloween Treats!!
It’s almost HALLOWEEN!!
Are you ready?
I am. Sort of.
I’ve got approximately 6 huge bags of candy set aside (that means I can eat at least one full bag and still have enough for the kids. Probably. ) and Jon David has his costume all picked out.
We are doing a Trunk or Treat deal with our church this year, so when we went to the costume shop, I told Jon David to pick out something appropriate to wear at church. Ten minutes later, he brought me a skull mask that looked like it was on fire, dripping blood, with a cape and a pitchfork.
Ummmm….
Anyways. If you’re in need of some last minute goodies (I’m planning on whipping up a few things to give to neighbors before we leave tomorrow), here are a few of my favorites!!
Mummy Twinkie Pops and Frankenstein Twinkie Pops – No baking required!! These are quick and easy to throw together and look super cute!!
Creepy Eyeball Truffles – No bake — AND there is a creepy surprise in the center for little boys and girls who love to be grossed out!!
Jack Skellington Cupcakes — Donut holes make the perfect head for these cupcake toppers!!
Incidentally, Jack Skellington is my son’s favorite Disney Character…between that and the blood dripping skull, I’m wondering if I need to sleep with one eye open.
Melted Witches — Again with the no bake. See how easy this whole cute treat thing is?
Spider Peanut Butter Blossoms – okay, these DO require baking. But…they’re cute and yummy, soooo….
Easy Candy Bouquets — I’ve got simple step by step instructions for putting together fun and festive candy bouquets. We’ve been “Boo-ing” our neighbors with them!!
However you choose to celebrate (or not) I hope you have a very safe and happy Halloween!!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I realize you could be doing more important things with your time. Like watching the news or washing socks. I hope you stay awhile. Much more fun than socks, I promise.

Boys are notorious for liking all that weird bloody, gross stuff. As long as Lucy doesn’t end up wanting to be covered in blood and scaring children when it’s time for her to trick or treat, I think you’ll be safe. Awesome roundup! Have a fun and safe Halloween, Kristan!
Great post! So many fun treats. I’m enjoying being a Halloween grinch for one more year since my kiddo is still young enough. :)
All so freaking cute!
Since my boys are WAY past the age of trick-or-treating I usually just spend Halloween handing out candy to the little ones that come by our place. It seems like we get fewer & fewer every year.
If the boys do go out and wander the neighborhood (they like to keep an eye out to make sure no one is causing trouble), they end up bringing home more candy than we had in the first place!
blast!! Stop being amazing! How can I keep up with you?!! I’m pinning all of these for next year!!
I had planned to make your mummy pops for my son’s first and third grade classes. But alas sandy hit and now there is no school and no halloween.
I would love to attempt the Frankenstein Twinkie Pops….alas…I live in a Twinkie-less town.
I KNOW, right?
That’s scarier than Halloween.
Anyway….one day I will get a hold of some Twinkies and stash them away so I can try the Frankenstiens and mummies too. Very cool Halloween sweets collection!
OMG the Twinkie guys are so cute. Very good ideas to do w the kids.
I still love those Frankenstein twinkies – such a fun idea! Happy Halloween!
Those buckets are every kids dream on Halloween. I love the cupcakes too.
