Friday Fun!! Friday Fun!!
Good morning guys!!
It’s Friday!!
This week, I did lots of stuff.
I made food.
I ate food.
And I’m officially 29 weeks pregnant!!
No photo this week yet, but trust me when I say that my belly is as big as a house.
Lucy kicks and wiggles constantly, and I feel great other than the occasional heartburn, sore back, or swollen hands and feet.
Jon David has started to get really excited. He talks to his sister through my belly button. He originally wanted to talk to her through my mouth, but I shut that idea down very quickly. He loves for me to lay down with him for a few minutes after tucking him in, so he can lay his hand on my belly and feel her kick after he asks her questions. It’s really sweet, and hopefully something he always remembers.
I am completely obsessed with the fact that Breaking Amish starts Sunday. I’m sure my husband will want to watch football, but Amish takes priority over sports. Unless it’s the Razorbacks, the end.
I got the bedding for Lucy’s crib and am so excited to have it all set up and waiting. And now my husband and Jon David’s favorite game is to go in there and “adjust” things because they know it will DRIVE. ME. CRAZY. Because it totally matters if a baby blanket is draped a certain way. IT JUST DOES.
(Photo is from Instagram so please forgive the quality)
Of course, I did other stuff this week too.
Wanna see?
My BFF Shelly and I teamed up on Carmel Apple treats all week long!!
We started the week off with Caramel Apple Coffeecake and Caramel Apple Popcorn.
Next up was Carmel Apple Pizza and Caramel Apple Cake Pops. I’ll take five of each, thanks.
Third in the week was Caramel Apple Cheesecake Cookies and Caramel Apple Ice Cream…
And we ended our magical week of Fall desserts with Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars and Caramel Apple Cheesecake Cream Horns.
You know you need some.
I’m also carrying the caramel apple trend over to the drink category with this Hot Caramel Apple Drink.
This drink, you guys…
It’s life changing. It’s butter and apple pie and magic in a glass. DO IT.
On That’s What WE Said, I am also talking books…
And eyebrows.
Important stuff!!
Anyways, that’s kind of a lot of stuff. I should probably go take a nap for the next three days or so, don’t you think?
How was YOUR week? Tell me alll about it!!
Enjoy and have a very happy weekend!!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I realize you could be doing more important things with your time. Like watching the news or washing socks. I hope you stay awhile. Much more fun than socks, I promise.

squee…the CRIB!!! We’ll get to meet her so soon!!!
OK…I’m off to check out your eyebrows.
I love Lucy’s bedding! So cute:) I don’t know how you do it, but all of those recipes look amazing. Nice work!
You totally crack me up. :). BREAKING AMISH~~ aaaaaaaaa!!!
RUMSPRINGA!!!!!!!!
Since New York has done the absolutely right thing in panssig the law for gay marriage, will you two finally have your wedding ceremony at your wonderful home so we can all share with you?I love watching my recorded episodes but I can’t wait for the next season as well as the wedding!
The bedding looks awesome! I know you’ve said this in other posts.. but I’m pregnant and lazy to try and look lol… but where did you order your bedding from? I think it was an etsy shop? I’m having twins and am also getting davinici mini cribs… and the bedding on the market leaves much to be desired and… so does my sewing machine lol… so I’d rather have someone else do it :)
Here is a link to her shop…
http://www.etsy.com/shop/crankypantscreations
She does great work, and makes everything custom to fit!! Her prices were the best I found, too.
I ordered a set of black out curtains in damask fabric, and a minky sheet for the cold months and a cotton sheet for the warm months. I was really happy with everything!!
OK. I read “minky” and went OMG! She’s going to buy a Mink blanket??? —– the type where you have to skin a cute little animal. Then I thought — no, I’m sure she means fake fur. Hahahaha. At first glance I assumed you had the cutest dog EVER and had put him in the crib. Duh. Excuse me while I put on my dunce hat and go sit in the corner. Lucy’s crib is adorable — just like her mom and soon to be big brother. p.s. Please forgive my spelling. I’m dyslexic and my spelling is atrocious. BUT. For some unknown reason when I use this website comment section my spell-check doesn’t WORK.
What? A new Amish show? I wish you lived near me so we could be BFFs!
“He originally wanted to talk to her through my mouth, but I shut that idea down very quickly.” This made me laugh so hard, Kristin! Thanks for the chuckle.
I enjoyed all your posts this week, also :)
Dangit, spelled your name wrong!
*Kristan
A week full of caramel apple everything can’t be a bad one, right? My week was way too eventful, culminating in a Fashion’s Night Out party last night that has drained me of all energy, and I’m only 22. How do I feel like I stayed out all night when I got home at 9:30? And today? Flu shot. Good times. Can’t wait to get back in the kitchen to do some baking.
Eek, congrats on being almost not-pregnant anymore! I’m sure you’re stoked for baby Lucy to get here, and how cute that Jon David is talking to her through your belly button. Caramel apple week has left me with the strangest, strongest cravings for caramel apples and I need to get on that pronto. Have a great weekend!
Lucy’s bedding is so cute! She’s gonna be such a stylish baby girl. Caramel apple week has been so fun. Shelley and you created some great treats that have me craving fall.
I LOVE that crib bedding! It’s so cute! My sister is having a baby girl at the end of the month and I’ve been having fun getting girly stuff for her.
A note though- she was saying bumper pads we’re being considered unsafe now? You might want to check that out. I know I hear changes all the time about crib and sleeping safety. Hard to stay current on that stuff.
Yeah, I’ve been hearing the same thing about bumper pads off and on…the baby won’t be sleeping in the crib for the first bit (I’m using a bassinet for awhile), but I’m going to look into it.
I’m really digging all the caramel apple-ey goodness here.
Lucy- I love that name!!
Adorable. Absolutely adorable! Love that Jon David is so excited about his baby sister! Yummy treats all week too. Thanks for sharing!
I love following you on instagram…I remember seeing the crib…totally adorable!!! Loved your caramel apple week with Shelly…wow!
I’m so glad I’m not the only one excited about Breaking Amish starting tonight! I mentioned it at work and everyone just looked at me like “what are you talking about?”
Can’t wait to hear what you think! :)
The crib and bedding are lovely. I think it’s super cool that JD talks through your belly button. So sweet. I have loved caramel apple week, and I’m so looking forward to the fall. Please, stay fall for more than a week. Thanks!
I feel kinda sorry for your new baby… how long does it take before newborns can eat solid food? that is going to be a tough wait for anybody with a mommy that makes such aaaaaaaaammmmaaaaazzzinng treats..your blog rocks and your cooking ideas are like magical fantasies..I don’t know how you do it everything looks fab..your kids are sooo lucky!
I love the baby’s bedding. Don’t let the guys get to you, It totally matters how the quilt is hung on the crib. I don’t know why, it just does.
[...] But finally, I’ve made it to the party with stenciled Damask cookies to match the bedding that Kristan picked for her sweet little Lucy Lu. [...]
