Giveaway — Candy Making for Kids!!

tag : Giveaways
by : Kristan

If you know me at all, you know that I LOOOOOOOVE candy.

And cute stuff.

And easy recipes.

And my kid.

So OBVIOUSLY, I was super excited when I found out that my friend Courtney was working on a book called Candy Making for Kids.

Courtney has a super fun party planning site called Pizzazzerie.  I’ve gotten to hang out with her twice over the past two years at the Blissdom conference in Nashville, and she is truly as fun as her site!!

Because she is a blogger, Courtney realizes what is important in a cookbook.

Like a spine that can lay flat.

And an adorable front AND back cover.

Candy Making for Kids is full of fun, EASY, and delicious treats that you and your kid can make together.  Tons of fun with a minimal amount of fuss.

With the holidays coming up, I’d say this is pretty much perfect!!

Candy Making for Kids is available for a really reasonable price on Amazon (and would make a perfect gift for the little cook-in-training in your life), and if you send an email to Courtney at courtney(at)pizzazzerie.com with the subject line Book Signature and proof of purchase attached (screen shot of online order or photo of receipt, etc), mailing address, and name of person to make it out to, Courtney will send a signed book plate to go inside the cover!!

However.

Since Courtney is super cute and sweet, she is giving a copy of her book as well as a mini rolling pin and whisk to one of my readers!!

To enter, just leave a comment telling me who would get the book if you won it.  Would you keep it?  Give it to a special kid in your life?

Let me know!!

I will be taking entries until Wednesday 8/22 at 11:59 pm.  Winner will be drawn Thursday 8/23 and contacted via email.

Thanks so much to Courtney for providing a copy of her book to my readers and I wish her TONS of success!!

Good luck and thanks for entering!!

Thanks for reading!! I put lots of love into this post, so if you enjoyed it, please leave a comment, share, or subscribe. (As you can probably tell, I'm in constant need of validation, so this keeps me from questioning my self worth and crying into a box of wine) If, by some chance, you didn't enjoy the post, take it up with my personal zombie ninja.
About Kristan
I’m a proud housewife with a son in the second grade and a sweet baby girl. Like most little boys, my son funny and cute but a little weird. Which only makes me love him more. And the baby? Well...I know she'll sleep eventually. If I could, I would paint my life pink, sprinkle it with glitter, and give everyone a cupcake.

I would LOVE to win this book. My daughter will be 13 this October and it would be a fun thing to give it to her so we could spend some mommy/daughter time in the kitchen as she grows older and more into her “own”.

I love BOTH of your blogs and follow them daily!

    Have a great day!

Anytime I’m in the kitchen she is right there with me helping me make a delicious mess and if it’s not meal time you can find her playing with her play kitchen :) My cousin’s (5 & 9) also love to help my aunt in the kitchen!! I see lots and lots of really cute cook books out in internet land, and I always think, “Oh, I should buy that, it’s really cute.” But then I talk myself out of it, knowing I can look so much up on the internet, and knowing that I rarely touch the 80 bazillion cute cookbooks I already have. THIS cookbook, though? I’m GOING to buy it. I’m going to go put it in my Amazon shopping cart right now (but wait until the winner is announced before I click “buy”). My two boys are going to love me for making them fun treats!

I would love to win this giveaway. If I won, I would give it to my god-sister’s daughter, who is turning 7 on January 4th. My god-sister’s parents (my god-parents) used to take me on weekends and we would shop and bake dozens and dozens of cookies. These are some of my best memories growing up. I want my god-sister’s daughter to have the same experience so I have her come stay with me for a weekend and we do things like swim and Disney and we always make a couple desserts (cupcakes, cookies, etc.). This would be an awesome book and supplies to give her and we could use it together to make our special treats. This would mean a lot. Good luck to me! :)

I’d totally give this book to my little fella. He’s six years and gets really nervous trying new activites. Like REALLY nervous. It’s kinda heartbreaking. We’ve tried soccer, skating, gymnastics – you name it we’ve tried to get him excited about it. He loves baking with me in the kitchen, so our latest attempt was cooking classes. He LOVES it… and I’m secretly hoping he’s the next Curtis Stone!

I would like to say that because I am such a thoughtful and sweet person that I would give it to someone; however, I would keep it! I love candy myself and have passed along that gene to my six boys, ages 11-3. I would share some of the ideas with my boys’ teachers so they could make the yumminess with their classes (we don’t have sugar restrictions in our small school) and I would make creations to sell at our school bake sales, and of course make some to eat ourselve. Truth be told, when we get those pre-packaged gingerbread houses/trains, I hate to waste the candy as decorations..it just doesn’t seem right not to eat it instead.

I would keep it and do with my 4 kids … and then buy one for both of my sisters – telling them which are the absolute best recipes in it – and proceed to expand our testing of the book – even doing a family “cupcake war” spin off … we gather regularly and do this with other items – it would be fun to expand our scope to include candy!!!

But he has two little girls and the 6 year old has him reading a cookbook to her each night. My kids are 22 and 28 now and I made almost all of their birthday cakes when they were little. Now it’s on to candy…something different we can have fun doing together!

I have a 3-yr-old who not only loves helping in the kitchen, he also loves candy (go figure… a kid who loves sugar?) So I’d keep the book here at our home and do a little candy experimenting with him!

I would give it to my 8 year old son Tyler, he loves being in the kitchen with me and helping me cook. He loves to pick out recipes to make or foods to be on our weekly dinner menu.

Wow, this book looks amazing. Love the colourful pictures and fun, colourful design. If I won this book, I couldn’t keep it to myself, I’d share it with the 3 lights of my life – my 3 daughters.

I’m not a US resident but I have a US address. So, due to this, I’m assuming I can enter? I hope so. :) Thanks for hosting, Kristan.

My two girls would love this book! I bake and cook with them all the time (I used to bake for a living.) They just love learning how to make stuff in the kitchen. We make candy for holidays and special occasions. This book would be great!

This looks so CUTE! My two sons would have to share it. And since I homeschool them, we would have to go through the book systematically & make each recipe together. Maybe once a week have a homeschool cooking class!

I would give this book to my neice for a Christmas present. She is 7 and LOVES to make her own candy.
Also, this would drive my sister crazy since she would be the one who would have to help — Double Bonus ;)

I would pass this book onto my 5 yr old grandson who loves to help Nana in the kitchen. His favorite thing to make is brownies and he can’t wait for Christmas to come so he can participate in the annual candy making that happens at Nana’s one Sunday before Christmas! He is too cute!

I would keep it at my house since all 5 grandson’s come over on Sunday’s and we like to cook and bake together. This would be perfect! We would have a lot of fun making candy to share especially with the holidays coming up. Cooking together can teach kids so many things and it is so fun to do with kids. I think I learn as much as the grandsons do.
