{20 Week Update } It’s a…
Today was my 20 week appointment and ultrasound.
The baby has been kicking like crazy for almost 3 weeks, so I’ve been DYING to know if a little girl or boy was responsible for my sleepless nights.
Everything looked great. The baby is right at average size.
The only problem was…it moved. CONSTANTLY. I felt kicking all last night, all morning, and the ultrasound was no exception. The technician had a hard time taking measurements because the baby wouldn’t stay still!!
After my ultrasound I went to see my doctor where he checked my measurements and the baby’s heartbeat. Would you believe that in the few seconds he was checking the heartbeat, he heard the baby kick 4 or 5 times?
The next 20 weeks are going to be long, I think.
Of course, it’s no surprise it’s such an active baby…
..because I’m getting a crazy little girl!!
Ava Lucille Roland (otherwise known as my sweet little Lucy) is due November 24th, and we cannot WAIT to meet her!!

Congrats, Kristan… So exciting! My baby was kicking and moving around furiously for our ultrasound, too. They actually made us go back for a second one since they couldn’t get the pictures they needed in the first one. :)

Oh, Kristan, I’m so excited for you! Girls are so fun! My first girl was the same way as your sweet Ava… wouldn’t stop moving. EVER!!! She just turned 2 last week, and, guess what? She still hasn’t stopped moving! You are in for a great ride!!

Well I have a girl and boy, but I LOVE dressing up, and doing her hair and going for mani’s and pedi’s with her. (she is only 4) and talking about Disney Princess and baking with her.
I love my little boy as well, but he is more into boy stuff, football, soccer, farting and burping, he is a mini version of my hubby, heheheheh.

YAAAAAY! Little girls are the best! As long as I only have one, lol. My daughter was super active in utero as well and she came out a firecracker. You may want to start working out, like seriously. Do you have a P. O. Box or something? I don’t want to be the crazy lady asking for your address, but I’d love to send you something for Lucy closer to her arrival. Congrats, little girls really are wonderful! I wanted a boy first, but I’m thrilled with the little munchkin girl that I got.

EeeeK! I’m so excited for you and your family. I had secretly hoped you would have a little girl – well, nothing against boys or anything. I’m a momma of 2 girls so I’m biased. My oldest was born on 11/25 and I spent Thanksgiving in the hospital. (Note: pre-plan having someone bring you a real Thanksgiving dinner b/c hospital turkey is gak!) Oh – and my little one (now 13) had a turkey cake as her first birthday cake…I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Congrats!!

How exciting!!!!!!! When I was pregnant with our last baby, our then 9 year old boy, insisted that the baby be named Lucy. When I asked him why he said “If I had a Lucy, I’d love Lucy!” There was no saying no to that!!
