Friday Fun!! Friday Fun!!
It’s Friday Friday!!
This week, I did lots of stuff.
I made food.
I ate food. Lots of food. I am starving ALL THE TIME. I get weekly emails about the size of my baby from Babycenter, and it said that my sweet little one will double it’s weight in the next few weeks. So…that’s what I tell myself as I grab another bowl of chips at midnight.
I spent a good part of the week catching up from being in Seattle. Is it just me, or is traveling a lot easier on men? I’ve been dusting, vacuuming, grocery shopping, and blog baking like a crazy women. But I’m telling you, when my husband goes on a trip, he’s back to his normal routine in like, a day.
Last night, I finished watching the first two Teen Mom episodes of the season and I have a couple of questions: #1 WHAT was that on Amber’s chin and WHY did she think those false lashes were a good idea?? and #2 WHY does Farrah call her dad Michael and why didn’t he mind driving the UHaul for FIVE DAYS?? Please, someone with equally tacky tv taste fill me in.
Of course, I did lots of other stuff too. Wanna see?
I made Fluffernutter Cupcakes!! Super easy and great addition to your Father’s Day menu. You can even use chocolate cupcakes instead of peanut butter!!
Are you watching True Blood? We’ve got a guest writer recapping the first episode of the new season HERE.
It’s already eleven million degrees here in Arkansas, and I’m craving slushy drinks. These Virgin Strawberry Daiquiris are perfect!! Of course, you can always add a splash of rum if you need something a bit stronger…(geez, you big lush).
I shared my adventures in Forks and Seattle. Spoiler alert — I ate a lot of food and didn’t see a single vampire.
Are you watching The Bachelorette? Episode 5 was pure crazy and I’m recapping it HERE.
Looking for some good Summer reading? I’ve got my June recommendations here, and will be reviewing Gone Girl (so so good) next week. Feel free to read along, I’d love to hear your opinions too!!
I know I’ve been a bit sparse on the food posts this week. Being out of town kicked my butt!! I’m doing lots of baking this week though, and have lots of stuff planned for next week.
Enjoy your weekend and have a very happy Father’s Day!!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I realize you could be doing more important things with your time. Like watching the news or washing socks. I hope you stay awhile. Much more fun than socks, I promise.

We don’t have HBO, but my DVR randomly taped True Blood. I have no idea how it happened, but I cannot wait to watch it! That show has way too many sexy men to pass up :D
I can’t get over how Farrah talks to her parents. I know my parents wouldn’t be too happy to drive from North (South?) Dakota to Florida. It makes sense logistically so he probably agreed to it before filming, but wow, way to show you appreciate someone for helping you make a big mistake. How adorable are Tyler and Caitlin? I am so proud of them, I’m so glad theyve contined to show their story.
I’ve heard wonderful things about Gone Girl – I’m excited to hear what you think about it! I was going to ask if you had read “The Night Circus,” but then I did a quick search and I see that you did! Such a great book. I just made some The Night Circus treats on my blog this week :)
First time commenter but have been enjoying your blog for awhile……………..”geez you big lush” hahahaha!
I’m reading “Gone Girl” right now too! I just started it yesterday and I am loving it so far!
I have to confess to my love for trash TV as well! Amber is losing it this season! The fake lashes are a WAY TOO MUCH! Shes actually a very pretty girl when she tones it down. Farrah always talks to parents like that! So terrible.
I cannot get over Amber! Also, did she got some sort of weird stud/piercing right next to her eye? Very interesting choice there, Amber…
I was thinking the whole the same thing the whole time I was watching! Amber needs to wash off the 40 lbs of makeup and quit putting on the fake bronzer because her hands were all brown too! Less is more!
I love Teen Mom! And True Blood! And your blog!
Farrah did an interview and said she calls her dad Michael because that’s what her mom taught her to call him. Her moms reasoning is that since her sister has a different dad and calls him Michael, then Farrah should call him Michael too so her sister didn’t feel different or less.
Crazy right?!? If I were Michael, I’d be so mad that my wife wouldn’t let my own daughter call me dad!
I don’t even know where to begin with amber. I mean sad thing is, the chick has so many issues & it just happens to be all on tv for the world to see. I think amber should let farrah’s mom borrow some makeup. she needs something for those bags, poor thing.
& Farrah, I have no idea what her deal is. Her parents do everything in the world for her and she is so unappreciative. But ya know, her parents allow her to talk that way. If it were my mom back in the day you better believe she would have back handed me in the mouth haha.
Just finished Gone Girl and WOW! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it. I loved it, I hated it, I couldn’t believe the way the characters acted and the twists!
You are too busy for me to follow…lol!
