Friday Fun!! Friday Fun!!

It’s finally Friday!!

This week, I did lots of stuff.

I made food.

I ate food.

I watched Bridesmaids for the gazillionth time.

I took Jon David to the mall to eat cinnamon sugar pretzels for dinner.  This either makes me the best mom, or the worst mom ever.

I got heartburn basically every day.  Not normal uncomfortable heartburn, but burn a hole in your chest OMGI’MDYINGLIKEFORREAL heartburn.  This baby is totally a girl.  Unless it’s a boy.

Of course, I did lots of other stuff too.  Wanna see?

I made homemade Hostess Cupcakes.  I called them “Faux”tess cupcakes, trying to be cute, then my husband asked, “Hey…what is a Fox-tess cupcake?”.  Maybe it wasn’t so cute after all.

This week’s Whatta Man Monday is the Private Practice Edition.  Head over to That’s What She WE Said and vote!!

I made Mini Devil’s Food Donuts.  I have not actually fed any of these to the Devil, so I’m not sure how he feels about them, but I think they’re completely delicious.

I talked about my favorite hair products.  Life changing, if you want to know the truth.

Are you watching the Real Housewives of New Jersey?  Shelly and I are starting our weekly recaps!!  Ugh, those ladies are a hot mess of crazy.

Stuff That Caught My Eye This Week:

How To Make Self-Rising Flour from Add a Pinch

April Showers Cake from Bakingdom

Ranch Chicken Salad in a Jar from Food For My Family

S’mores Week from Cookies and Cups

Can you believe I did all that AND managed to take a nap every day?  Since my body is busy making a kid, naps count as work.  True story.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!  Happy Friday!!

Thanks for reading!! I put lots of love into this post, so if you enjoyed it, please leave a comment, share, or subscribe. (As you can probably tell, I'm in constant need of validation, so this keeps me from questioning my self worth and crying into a box of wine) If, by some chance, you didn't enjoy the post, take it up with my personal zombie ninja.
About Kristan
I’m a proud housewife with a son in the second grade and a sweet baby girl. Like most little boys, my son funny and cute but a little weird. Which only makes me love him more. And the baby? Well...I know she'll sleep eventually. If I could, I would paint my life pink, sprinkle it with glitter, and give everyone a cupcake.

I had the worst heartburn when I was pregnant with my two daughters. I was eating tums like it was candy and it didn’t help. I finally asked my OB about it with my second daughter and was given a RX for some stuff that was amazing! Don’t suffer, if it’s really bad, ask your doctor. :)

Agree with Bonnie B. or ask your doctor about OTC Zantac. I ate 1,000 Tums with my daughter and she was born with a full head of jet black hair like Liza Minelli. With my son, I tried the Zantac and it worked much better. He still had some hair, but he was no Liza.

I don’t normally comment unless there’s a giveaway (shameful, I know!), but I can’t stand not to today. I just can’t let you go on thinking your “faux”tess cupcakes pun wasn’t cute. I thought it was adorable! Granted, I speak french, so I got it right away, but still. Don’t let your husband make you think it wasn’t a great pun. <3 :)

    I already know why I’m sending baby Cookbook Queen because I’m sure she’s a girl…unless she’s a boy :)

Oh jeez I want those cupcakes so bad. And baby wise… I had the absolute worst heartburn with my boy – like 1000x worse than with my girls. So bad I had to take extra strength medicine to keep it at bay. Good luck!

I’ve always heard that the heartburn meant your baby will have lots of hair. So I think it will be kind of Fabio like. Unless it is bald.

I’m so glad it’s Friday and I totally had the heartburn with each of my 3 boys. Did you know it helps to sleep on your left side, less heart burn, true story!

“This baby is totally a girl. Unless it’s a boy.”

This! LOL You always crack me up ^_^ And I totally got the “faux-tess” pun, but when I actually said it out loud (Fo-tess?) i’m thinking if you add an “S” so it becomes “faux-stess” then hubs would totally get it. But us “cool people” already figured it out :P
