It’s Friday, y’all!!
This week, I did lots of stuff.
I made food.
I ate food.
And I’ve been growing a baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were planning on waiting a couple of more weeks until we announced it, but my body decided to immediately expand to the size of a woman well out of her first trimester. I’ve even been asked about my pregnancy by COMPLETE STRANGERS.
Soooo…that makes it sort of hard to hide.
My husband and I had honestly decided that we were officially “done” after Jon David…but as he approaches his 8th birthday, we have have realized that we still have a lot of love to give and just aren’t ready to close that door. Two years home alone has really made me think about what I want for the rest of my life.
And what I want is to raise another baby.
We are beyond excited, and praying for a healthy and relatively boring pregnancy. So far I’ve had a lot of nausea and exhaustion, which has made baking and blogging difficult. But I know I’ll turn the corner on that soon and I can’t wait!!
Because of the fact that I’m growing a human being, I’m not going to share the rest of the projects I completed this week, lest they overshadow my importance at the moment.
Pregnant people are super important and sensitive creatures. It’s a fact.
But if you want to scroll back a few pages, I made cupcakes, brownies, and am giving away a Cookie Cookbook from Two Peas and Their Pod.

I love the Cheesecake Factory! I went to one in Nashville last year for the first time and it was so yummy!! If you’re a fan of chicken teriyaki, I suggest that! It came with white rice, grilled bananas, and grilled pineapple.

Each time my husband says anything I don’t totally agree with, my first response is, “Hey. Try growing a person.” (I so don’t mean that in an over-shadowy-kind-of-way =P)

Yeah!! That is so awesome. I adore reading your blog and find you absolutely hilarious. I just gave birth to my 3rd child in December……7 years after my last baby. My two older children (10 & 7) are so loving with their new baby sister. They dote on her and literally fight over who gets to hold her first. Fun times ahead for you. Congratuations!!!

Oh wow! Congratulations! And yes, you definitely look further along than 9 weeks! I am 34 weeks prego and am so sick of people telling me how small I look. Okay people, I’m 5’2″ and I feel plenty big, thankyouverymuch! It will be great to have Jon David be older and be a help to you (and hopefully not so jealous :) Enjoy and blessings to your family!

I also had a lifelong cheesecake factory fantasy. When I was in Tampa over 1 year ago I was able to fulfill this and I did not regret one caloric bite. I had fresh soft pita and hummus, and 2 desserts.. yes that is not a typo. I skipped the main course and went right for the Vanilla bean cheesecake and the largest strawberry shortcake i ever had in my life. The strawberry shortcake was surprisingly the best thing I ordered. A big fluffy fresh baked still warm biscuit topped with macerated Strawberries, fresh whipped cream AND a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yes, i just went there and now I am drooling.

somehow I have been out of the loop the last 3 weeks and I totally missed this post.
