Friday Fun!! Friday Fun!!
Can you believe it’s already Friday?
This week, I did lots of stuff.
I made food.
I ate food.
I got halfway through Season 2 of Mad Men on Netflix. I sort of despise Don Draper, but I also sort of love him. It’s a very dysfunctional relationship.
I let Jon David con me into adding even more “magic” and game apps to my phone. It’s ridiculous. Why do I let him take over every electronic device I own?
My husband’s cousin had a baby over the weekend, so we drove up to see him the other day. He’s squishy and snuggly and I thought about taking him home, but apparently kidnapping babies is frowned upon. Blah blah blah, rules are kind of dumb sometimes.
Of course, I did lots of other stuff this week too. Wanna see?
I made Caramel Butter Pecan Bars. I am pretty sure there is fairy dust and rainbows hidden inside them, that’s how good they are.
I reviewed Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children HERE.
I made Coconut Cream Sugar Cookies. Don’t they look happy?
This week on That’s What She WE Said, I’m pitting Gerard Butler and Channing Tatum against each other in a manly man face off. Head over there and vote!!
Is there a lot of leftover Easter candy at your house? Chop it up and put it in these Monster Cookies.
Stuff that caught my eye this week:
Bacon Cheeseburger Puffs from Plain Chicken
Funfetti Cake Waffles from Buns In My Oven
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Peanut Butter from How Sweet It Is
Tangled Cookies from The Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle
Well, I guess that’s about it for the week. Well, I also rode on the back of a motorcycle with Bobby Petrino, but what girl hasn’t?
(a little bit of Arkansas humor, I couldn’t resist)
Have a happy weekend, everyone!!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I realize you could be doing more important things with your time. Like watching the news or washing socks. I hope you stay awhile. Much more fun than socks, I promise.

Kristan!
I have to say that while I LOVE all of your posts.. your comment about riding on Bobby Petrino’s motorcycle put this one over the top for a huge SEC fan!!
I know that comment has nothing to do with the food (although the caramel pecan bars do look AMAZING) but I absolutely had to share it.
Thanks!!
Emily
Don Draper is an enigma. I love him. I hate him. It gets worse with each season and yet, I can’t say no.=) I am looking forward to reading the Peculiar children book. I had it on reserve at my library, then we moved to Iowa. Don’t currently have a library card here. Bummer. I love your blog. It’s great. bellesbazaar-heather.blogspot.com
I really need some of those caramel pecan bars. You have any left? I think you are just a quick road trip away from me. :)
Man Men…that show is so stupid…and yet i cant stop watching it! I mean I think I watched 6 episodes back to back at one point!
BAaaahaaa! That Petrino comment made me literally laugh out loud! (from a fellow Arkansan)
Love reading your blog. Just had to stop by to say that I’ve made several of your recipes, and they’ve all been great…the Petrino comment almost made me choke. :-) (another Razorback)
Saw those bars yesterday – LOVE! Also want to get into Madmen. Good to know it’s on Netflix!
Oh. My.
I officially declare you my new favorite person in the whole world.
LOVing your site and your recipes!!
amen!!
Your coconut cream sugar cookies look so fun and tasty! Have a great weekend!
The Bobby Petrino comment about made me pee myself!
