Friday Fun!! Friday Fun!!

It’s Good Friday, y’all!!

This week, I did lots of stuff.

Okay…actually, I didn’t do that much.  I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather and kind of just wanted to punch life and hide under a blanket.  But–I pressed forward and did what I could.

I watched the Season 2 premier of The Killing on Sunday.  And I swear, if they don’t tell who the killer is at the end of this season, I am NEVER watching again.  Until the next season starts.  Sigh… I am so bad at taking a stand.

I got the new Facebook Timeline and I hate it.  It’s so confusing, right?  I know it’s annoying when there are real problems in the world and I’m all blah blah I have Facebook Woes, but it is what it is.  Also…ever since they changed the settings, I am reaching about HALF the people who “like” my page.  So if you’re a liker, would you pop over and say hi?  That way they know you don’t hate me and you want me in your stream, so we can complain about my husband or I can let you know when a new post is up.

And if you DON’T want me in your stream, just don’t pop over.  Totally fine, I’m not offended (okay I sort of am).

Yesterday when I picked Jon David up from school, all the kids in his class were cheering and jumping around and my son looked like a hostage.  On the way to the car I found out that his elementary school had a pep rally and to his complete befuddlement, kids were waving pom poms (“even BOYS, mom”) and yelling and screaming.  He told me he had been looking for me and hoping I’d pick him up early so he could escape the madness.

My son is an odd sort.

We went to a buffet one night for dinner, which we only do like twice a year.  And I paid $15 (why are buffets for millionaires only?) only to sit and eat two platefuls of mashed potatoes and fried okra.  Like always.

Remind me to never go to a buffet again unless I’m in Vegas.

Of course, I did other stuff this week, too.

Wanna see?

I made Carrot Treat Bags.  They’re easy and fun…and there is still time to throw some together this weekend if you want to!!

Over on That’s What She WE Said, I am sharing how to make this completely adorable necklace.  Super cheap and easy, promise.

I made these Carrot Cake Parfaits.  I actually still have a couple in the fridge, if you wanna come over.  Okay, actually…don’t come over.  Today is Pajama Day for me.  But if you want to sit at the end of the driveway, I’ll attach a balloon to one and see if it will float down.

Do you enjoy a refreshing adult beverage from time to time?  I’m sharing a Spiked Italian Soda HERE.

Stuff that caught my eye this week:

Buttery Coconut Almond Morning Buns from Willow Bird Baking

Chocolate Chip Hot Cross Buns from Pennies on a Platter

Maple Morning Cake from RecipeGirl

Can you believe I did all that AND got rich this week?  It’s true.  All I have to do is send all my personal info to this guy in Nigeria and I’ll have it made in the shade.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a very happy Easter!!

Thanks for reading!! I put lots of love into this post, so if you enjoyed it, please leave a comment, share, or subscribe. (As you can probably tell, I'm in constant need of validation, so this keeps me from questioning my self worth and crying into a box of wine) If, by some chance, you didn't enjoy the post, take it up with my personal zombie ninja.
About Kristan
I’m a proud housewife with a son in the second grade and a sweet baby girl. Like most little boys, my son funny and cute but a little weird. Which only makes me love him more. And the baby? Well...I know she'll sleep eventually. If I could, I would paint my life pink, sprinkle it with glitter, and give everyone a cupcake.

Um, you better feel better before Easter, missy, or I may have to kick your butt! And also, who will eat all the carrot cake? Exactly.
LOVE the idea of a spiked Italian soda. Sigh, I love being twenty-one.
And OMGINEEDWANTANDMUSTMAKETHATNECKLACE. It’s seriously so cute. But I was confused and saddened that you have a dollar jewelry store and we do not. Life is SO CRUEL.

Hi! Hey I love your blog – it makes me smile (and drool at the treats).
So I just wanted to say that and hope you feel better.
Have a nice easter (make sure to eat plenty of chocolate).

LOL…about the Nigeria get-rich-quick! (I promise, I did read everything else you did this week, but THAT really got me rollin’.) And, try those chocolate chip hot cross buns…they’re yummylicious! (I heard it’s a no-no to use the word “delicious” in food blogging anymore, so that’s my best attempt at a new word.) ;)

Ahhh. Hope you start feeling well enough to consume piles of chocolate eggs, dozens of yummy Peep bunnies and hoards of jelly belly’s (jelly bellies?) Oh, that guy from Nigeria. Guess what? He contacted me, too. Surprise, surprise. I’ve set him every penny I have — because if you can’t trust a complete stranger living thousands of miles away, one who doesn’t know how to spell my name properly, who can you trust? In the meantime, while we both patiently wait and wait and wait to hear from the world’s most generous stranger — Hippity Hoppity Happy Easter Day!

How much money did you make when you got rich!! lol I belong to an online liver support group due to having a very rare liver disease. One of the women got an e-mail from a guy who wants to give her a part of his liver for a “substantial” sum of money!! That was the first time I saw something like that.
