A Cookie Cravings Giveaway!!
Cookies are a huge part of my life. My son loves them and my husband requests that I make some any time he goes on a fishing or hunting trip.

So it should come as no surprise that Two Peas and Their Pod has been one of my favorite blogs for a long time. Maria knows her cookies!! And now that she has her own little cookie monster, I have no doubt she’ll find herself more and more inspired every day.
Recently Maria put together a digital cookbook that is all about cookies. It includes 30 cookie recipes — 15 from her blog and 15 recipes that are all NEW and exclusive to the cookbook. Each recipe has been gorgeously photographed by Heidi Larsen of Foodie Crush.
Cookie Cravings is a 78 page downloadable E-Book and is full of recipes, photos and personal stories. I downloaded my own copy and I absolutely LOVE it! I was so happy to see Caleb’s cute little face looking at me from the pages.

Cookies are like crack to me. I can NEVER say no. I bake them for my family, neighbors and even teachers at school (every bribe helps.. trust me). Bar cookies, sugar cookies, big cookies, monster cookies, drop cookies.. you name it, I’m addicted. I think the character “Cookie Monster” was loosely based on my life.

I bake the most cookies for my husband who likes them warm, out of the oven! Then I freeze some and share with friends that come over.
I actually do the majority of my cookie-baking for my co-workers. My husband is not a big sweet eater, and I love to bake. So I have a little “Baking Supplies” jar on my desk, and once or twice a week I bring in baked goods. I recently rolled over $100 in coins!! That’ll keep me baking for a few weeks :)

I bake the most cookies for my boys. They are always the first to the kitchen to help me dump full measuring cups into the mixing bowl, and then they sit and stare and ask for a cookie 50 times while they cool on the wire racks. It’s wonderful. I wouldn’t trade baking with my boys for anything.

My family always gets to try my treats first….then good friends, coworkers, etc. Sadly, my 9-year-old son was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes :( This is all new to us so until we can get a handle on this, my baking is on the back burner which is making us all sad (especially me, I find it therapeutic and now is when I need it most!). Anyway, I hope the day comes when we can find a way to incorporate some sweet treats back into my son’s life and mine!

I adore cookies! I must say, since my husband passed away, I bake cookies for “me.” My late husband was a talented baker. Neighbors would come to our door, quite often, requesting “Pumpkin Spice” cookies. My husband just had a knack for baking. He didn’t need a recipe, he’d improvise. He never turned out a “bad cookie.” That, he left up to me!

Is it wrong that I bake mostly for myself? Baking is my therapy (and of course enjoying the final product certainly helps too!) There’s just something so nostalgic about the whole process, from breaking out the vintage mixing bowls to licking the beaters and sampling all the dough! :)

In my kitchen, cookies are for my fiancé (husband in one month!) and awesome roomies. Not the icky ones who never clean the bathtub or buy toilet paper. The awesome ones who do Brazilian butt workouts in the living room late at night.

I make cookies for myself all the time! I love them! Lately I’ve been sending all the extra baked goods to work with my mom!

I bake cookies the most for my family and close friends. I actually haven’t sent any cookie packages in a while – when my husband was deployed, I was constantly sending dozens of cookies to him and his battles and then also to our families (in different states) and my friends (one in Alaska, one in Alabama). :) I really just enjoy baking for anyone who will eat them. My husband likes to tease me for making sweets all the time and “making him fat”
holiday cookies are my favorite, always reminds me of baking Christmas cookies with my family when I was a kid. I don’t have a lot of people to bake for, so I get them out to whoever I can.
I show up with trays of cookies for family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers for just about ANY occasion!
I bake cookies for everything! Nothing beats white chocolate macadamia nut! Yum. I especially love to bake in the winter when it is cold outside and give baked treats to family, friends and co-workers.

For years I used to just bake for fun and occasionally for my husband. Now I bake for my almost 3 year old. She loves to help, and it’s one of my favorite things to do.
I sometimes bake the cookies my mother-in-law gave me the recipe for. One time my husband said they were “close” to how his mom does it… I don’t make them much any more. Now I usually bake cookies for my preschool class. This isn’t entirely legal in my state, so all you health-department employees: forget you read this. These children deserve home baked things every now and then :)

When I bake cookies, I basically usually split them between my neighbor and my brother-in-law. They are the best taste-testers!
