Frozen Peanut Butter Butterfinger Pie

I have mentioned before that I am not a work-outish person.

And by not work-outish, I mean that I hate anything that causes sweat, not counting anxiety over missing a sale at the mall or Mexican food.

Don’t even try to convince me that I just need to try Zumba or Yoga or whatever is the new “fun” bendy way to work out like it’s a party.  There are women who were meant to bend all around the land or shake what their mama gave them to mad, funky beats.  I am the other kind of woman.

The kind who stays at home and watches Judge Judy while she eats Zebra Cakes.

(unrelated, I kind of wish that Judge Judy was my grandma.  The crocheted collar sticking out of her robe convinces me that she has a softer side, plus she owns a yacht)

Anyways, I have discovered a fun new, ” looking skinny” tip I thought I would share: Work out clothes automatically make you look athletic and therefor, thinner.

True story.

I have never been a “sporty girl”, I usually favor sparkly flats over sneakers, but the other day I threw some sneakers on with my leggings and hoodie and realized that I looked sort of strong.  Like a person that possibly just finished a marathon or P90X.  Suddenly I was running my errands with pride, knowing that people were looking at me and wondering what super important and difficult work-outish thing I had been doing earlier.

It’s sort of like having an Awesome Person costume, plus I think it makes me look a bit more intimidating, meaning that random men won’t approach me to ask where to find the creamed corn anymore.

Also, some of those work out clothes have elastic stuff in them, that sucks everything in and makes me feel like I should eat some pie.

Any day I need pie is a good day, if you ask me.

This particular pie requires no baking and can be put together in a flash.  Like, for if you have company coming over last minute or you just need pie super duper bad because you want to eat it.

Frozen Peanut Butter Butterfinger Pie

Print This Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • Chocolate or Oreo Pre-made Crust
  • 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 of a 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz tub Cool Whip, thawed
  • 8 fun size or 3 full size Butterfinger candy bars, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

1.  In the bowl of a mixer, combine cream cheese, condensed milk, peanut butter, and powdered sugar.  Beat on medium until smooth and completely combined.

2.  Using a rubber spatula, fold in the Cool Whip until combined.  Add chopped candy.

3.  Pour mixture into pie crust.  Cover and freeze until firm.

This pie is too yummy and easy NOT to make! SO do it do it do it do it.

Have a happy Tuesday!!

This pie looks awesome. And I am a person who likes to work out, except that I always feel like eating a piece (or two!) of pie after I’m done, which kind of defeats the purpose…

Loving this peanut butter pie. Unfortunately, I love sweetened condensed milk and butterfingers too! Any chance the Cool Whip could be replaced by whipped cream? Or would that ruin the texture or recipe altogether? Thanks for posting this yummy treat!

A.) I am SO making this pie! Seriously, the ingredients ROCK and B.) I TOTALLY wear workout clothes on days I get absolutely NO exercise to look as if I did workout…. bc I’m too lazy to do a thing with my hair or makeup — or shower sometimes…. perhaps I need to cut back on my online time. :-)

I’m not a pie person, but I’m pretty sure I’m about to become one.

I am also not a work out person. To the ever lasting grief and shame of my boyfriend. OH WELL. The TV isn’t going to watch itself. Also, it takes a different kind of strength training to accumulate calories day after day and not spend them shamelessly by walking, running, or moving about pointlessly in other ways.

Finally, Judge Judy is awesome. I wish I was home when it is on. When I was funemployed, Judge Judy was a crucial part of my very rigorous TV schedule.

Oh! this pie looks SO GOOD! This is going to the top of my “make while hubby is away list” (I’m not being selfish he is allergic to peanuts!) But I have to admit that I am totally grossed out by people in exercise clothes at stores. If they are wearing the clothes then there is the possibility that they are all sweaty and smelly form having been to the gym… and then they /touch things/ or worse, TRY THINGS ON!!!! Eeeeeeeewwwww!!!!!!!

I 100% support both this pie, and this theory. I used to be embarrassed to wear sweats while I ran errands, but now, I just try and look even more exhausted than normal and people generally assume I just left a spin class or something. Add a baseball cap and people will think you just straight came from a triathalon.
