Friday Fun!! Friday Fun!!

It’s Friday, yo!!

This week, I did lots of stuff.

I made food.

I ate food.

I almost finished the second season of Downton Abbey.  I’m halfway through the Christmas episode, but I’m dragging it out because I don’t know what I’m going to do when it’s over.  I need a new obsession.

I finally bought those Dill Pickle Cashews from Target that my friend Shelly told me about.  Ah mah gah…where have those things been all my life?  I kind of want to marry them.

I’m desperate for a new book that is going to suck me in like The Hunger Games, but no luck so far.  I’ve tried Matched and Delirium, and while they’re both great…they’re no Hunger Games.  But I do recommend, if you like a good YA novel.

Speaking of Hunger Games, I saw it twice last weekend.  Team Peeta, the end.

Also…are you watching American Idol this season?  Team Phillip Phillips, the end.

I’ve looked at THIS necklace online approximately 158 times this week.  I want it I want it I want it.

Of course, I did lots of other stuff this week.  Wanna see?

I made chocolate eggs with a fun Easter surprise inside.  They’re so fun and easy!!  All eggs should be made out of chocolate, if you ask me.

This week’s Whatta Man Monday is the Cougar Edition.  You heard me.  Get over there and vote!!

I made Sugar Cream Pie.  It’s what they feed unicorns and fairies, is what I’ve heard.

How does the Hunger Games movie compare to the book?  Is it appropriate for kids?  I’m sharing my thoughts HERE.

I made Chocolate Key Lime Pie Cups.  They make all your troubles go away.

Are you nosy like me?  This week on That’s What She WE Said, Jenny from Picky Palate is giving us a peek inside her purse.

Want to win something fun?  I’ve got an awesome giveaway going HERE.

Stuff that caught my eye this week:

Cinnamon Toast Greek Yogurt Dip from Bake Your Day

Cadbury Creme Egg Brulee from Culinary Concoctions by Peabody

Dr. Pepper Cake for Two from Dessert For Two

Homemade Fudge Pops from Brown Eyed Baker

Can you believe I did all that AND went to the White House, where I drank too much Dr. Pepper and almost peed my pants?  I’ve got SUCH a busy life.  Sigh.

I hope you have fabulous weekend.  Happy Friday!!

Thanks for reading!! I put lots of love into this post, so if you enjoyed it, please leave a comment, share, or subscribe. (As you can probably tell, I'm in constant need of validation, so this keeps me from questioning my self worth and crying into a box of wine) If, by some chance, you didn't enjoy the post, take it up with my personal zombie ninja.
About Kristan
I’m a proud housewife with a son in the second grade and a sweet baby girl. Like most little boys, my son funny and cute but a little weird. Which only makes me love him more. And the baby? Well...I know she'll sleep eventually. If I could, I would paint my life pink, sprinkle it with glitter, and give everyone a cupcake.

AWww, thanks for linking to my Dr Pepper cake! :) You’re the SWEETEST!

I’ve been steadily avoiding the dill pickle cashews. But thanks to peer pressure, I will buy them today! Ah!

Thanks for the link Kristan! You are the best. Especially for telling me about the dill pickle cashews. Guess I know where I’m headed at lunch. Thanks for always making me laugh!

You should try Divergent by Veronica Roth. I liked it better than Matched.

Try the Birthmarked trilogy by Carah M. O’Brien. I thought it was on par with The Hunger Games.

As for the necklace – two words – Mother’s Day! Oh and you probably deserve the bracelet and earrings that match (if there are any) seeing that you gave birth. Good Luck!

If you are looking for a new series, I highly recommend reading the complete series of Sherlock Holmes- nothing like a good mystery. Plus, I think they boost your IQ by a few points every time you read them!

I still haven’t started Downton Abbey…but pretty sure I got the hubs on board, so first hurdle accomplished! :) And, I might start reading a series called The Maze Runner. A friend who loves Hunger Games said that if I liked HG, then I would like the Maze Runner series. We’ll see!!

Well as usual. I enjoyed reading and looking at everything, thank you! I like the color of the necklace very much but it isn’t style I would wear. I hope you get to get it! :D

I have three books next to my bed right now: Mockingjay (HG book 2), Crossed (Matched book 2) and Delirium. Clearly meant to be! :)

Those cashews are one of the best things in the world! Thankfully the closest Target is over an hour away so I limit myself to only 1 container whenever I do go into Target.
