Friday Fun!! Friday Fun!!

What up, Little Leprechauns!!

It’s Fridizzle!!

This week, I did lots of stuff.

I made food.

I ate food.

I reread Hunger Games in preparation of the movie and cried like 5 times.  How old am I again?

Jon David got all A’s on this report card and perfect behavior all year so far (all due to my spectacular parenting skills.  We even eat transfats and artificial dyes around here!!  And he’s still a productive member of society!!), so we let him pick where  to go for dinner.

He chose the Habatchi Grill.  AGAIN.  Because like all kids, he wants us to be poor.

I watched the season finale of The Bachelor.  Um…Ben?  Your pants are on fire.  Just saying.

Wanna see what else I did this week?

I made these fun cupcakes that have a hidden surprise.

Over on That’s What She WE Said, I’m pitting Jon Hamm and Jon Bon Jovi against each other in a manly man face off.  Head over there and cast your vote!!

I made Thin Mint Ice Cream Cups.  It’s such a great way for serving ice cream at a party and the flavor possibilities are endless!!

Are you a person who likes to read books for entertainment?  Well, I recently read a really good book and I’m reviewing it HERE.

My friend Darla from Bakingdom is in the middle of moving (to Portland!!  And I’m going to visit her soon and we’re driving to Forks, Washington!!), so I’m guest posting at her site today.  Go check it out, because these chocolate frogs have a hidden surprise.

Do you enjoy a craft from time to time?  I made these adorable and easy plaque hooks to organize my necklaces.  I’m sharing how I did it HERE.

Wanna make elegant little cakes without all the fuss and expense of tiny cake pans?  It’s easy!!  I’m sharing how I did it AND a recipe for Pink Lemonade Cake HERE.

Stuff That Caught My Eye This Week:

Funfetti Cupcakes for Two  from Cupcakes and Carrots

Chalkboard Silverware Jewelry Organizer from Tatertots and Jello

Irish Beef Stew and Mashed Potatoes from Lauren’s Latest

St. Patrick’s Day Inspiration from My Baking Addiction

Well, I guess that’s about it.

Can you believe I did all that AND caught my very own leprechaun?  (they poop Lucky Charms…don’t tell that I told though.  It’s supposed to be a secret)

Have a happy weekend and thanks for reading!!

Thanks for reading!! I put lots of love into this post, so if you enjoyed it, please leave a comment, share, or subscribe. (As you can probably tell, I'm in constant need of validation, so this keeps me from questioning my self worth and crying into a box of wine) If, by some chance, you didn't enjoy the post, take it up with my personal zombie ninja.
About Kristan
I’m a proud housewife with a son in the second grade and a sweet baby girl. Like most little boys, my son funny and cute but a little weird. Which only makes me love him more. And the baby? Well...I know she'll sleep eventually. If I could, I would paint my life pink, sprinkle it with glitter, and give everyone a cupcake.

Whew! You got me beat. My week looks like I spent it in bed with my doggy — and I’m not even sick — just resting up. Because next week I will attack ALL my closets. Maybe.

I’m so jealous that you’re going to Forks! I am officially a 12 year old girl.

What a busy week! I’m just now reading The Hunger Games for the first time. And how adult am I? (Apparently not very).

That’s awesome that you’re going to Forks! I went last summer with my mom and sister and even at 25 I enjoyed it as much as a 12 year old girl. Except I got Forks wine glasses, which obviously makes me more adult :) except my boyfriend refuses to drink out of them haha. But really it’s so much fun, the whole town is all decked out in Twilight everything. My one piece of advice is to take a guided tour. Ours was through Dazzled by Twilight (I think) and it was amazing! They take you to all the best spots and character houses that a true fan would want to see. I loved it and would totally go back.

I’ve been to Forks! I’ll wave at you as you pass through Eastern Washington… unless you go a different way and don’t go through Eastern Washington! :)

I made homemade Andes candies ice cream today, and used the last four Thin Mints in my freezer to make Thin Mint Cups with them, after I saw your recipe. We had a different dessert tonight, but I can’t wait to try them.

    The rainbow cupcakes are awesome!
