Friday Fun!! Friday Fun!!
It’s Friday, it’s Friday!!
This week, I did lots of stuff.
I made food.
I ate food.
I went and saw that new scary movie with Harry Potter in it. Then I almost cried and begged my husband to take me home in the middle of it. He didn’t because he knew I didn’t really mean it. It was the fear talking.
I finished the first season of Vampire Diaries on Netflix. And now I’m crazy in love with Damon Salvatore. Those EYES. Swoon.
My husband has been leaving me little Valentines surprises every day since February 1st. Last night he didn’t get home from work until super late, and I was half-asleep on the couch. He walked over and pulled a Brighton Heart Locket necklace from his pocket. It had our photo inside. Then I died from love.
This morning’s surprise was a letter stating the ten places he wants to take me and why. One of them was London “so we can talk British and walk around laughing at people and things”. See why I love him so?
Obviously I did other things this week besides crying from scaredness, dying from love, and lusting after a fake vampire. Wanna see?
I made Valentines Twinkies on a Stick. Who wouldn’t love one of these on Heart Day?
Did you watch The Bachelor this week? Well. I’m happy to report that it was completely disgusting and tacky. Yay!! You can read my recap HERE.
Do your decorating skills leave something to desired? These cookies are super cute, and no smancy stuff required. You can do it!!
Does your weekend require a cocktail? This Girl Scout Cookie Shooter will do the trick.
After seeing THIS tutorial on Pinterest, I swore I was making Mustache Valentines this year. Then I got busy and almost didn’t. Then yesterday, I decided to go for it. They were done in about 20 minutes and I was picking them up from the pharmacy an hour later. I love them!!
Of course, I did lots of other stuff this week too. I participated in a Manatee Rodeo (you think riding a Bull is hard…) and ate approximately forty-seven Frosted Strawberry Pop Tarts. Toasted, of course.
What did you do this week? Tell me tell me tell me.
Have a happy weekend and thanks for stopping by!!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I realize you could be doing more important things with your time. Like watching the news or washing socks. I hope you stay awhile. Much more fun than socks, I promise.

You are awesome. That is all. :)
Okay, a manatee rodeo? Wha?!?
And I did miss the bachelor, except I don’t think “missed” is the correct word…maybe “avoided” would be more appropriate? What the heck?!? Is he wearing a loin cloth?
Loved your week (‘cept for the Bachelor as I don’t watch) and my favourite has to been the Valentine’s you made for your son and all the special things your husband has been doing for you leading up to Feb. 14th. Have a great weekend.
What a week! I want to go with you to talk British! Pip Pip Cheerio!
I’m going to see The Woman in Black tomorrow. I am already freaking out. I might cry lol.
Ummmm Damon only gets better in the next seasons. He is so yummy!
This week I made a valentine-y version of your peppermint patty brownie cups and they turned out fantastic! Thanks for the help! The other mom’s were definitely jealous ;-)
Loved your recap of the bachelor, so much funnier than the actual show was. And next manatee rodeo give me a call, I wanna give it a whirl! :-)
WOW!! I’m going to do some Friday Girlscout Cookie Shots while I dip some cookies! Thanks .. all look so great!
I don’t even like Twinkies, but those look really good.
I absolutely love your blog, I check it everyday! Thank you for keeping me entertained with your fun stories.
Could I ask you to please vote for my boyfriend and I? We entered a video contest to win an engagement ring and we need people to vote for us!!! If you can, please take a moment and check it out :)
Thank you! Loves all around!

I recently finished watching all of Buffy. Totally understand lusting after a fake vamp!
What ho, old sport? Is that how those Brits talk? Except for the Royal Family who talk posh. Manatee rodeo? Where? Count me in. Could you please clone your husband? He sounds like a real sweetie-pie. *Sigh.* I want one, too.
I have so enjoyed seeing all of your Instagram pictures of the little surprises that your husband has been leaving/giving you. True love gets me every time. Happy Friday!
I swoon over Ian Sommerhaulder’s eyes too! I could just take a long, luxurious bath in them – ahhhh.
This was so dang funny!! I feel the same way about that scary Harry Potter movie! I might be nice and go with him and then be scared to go to bed every night for a week.=) bellesbazaar-heather.blogspot.com
If you loved the first season of VD, you’re going to love the rest! I look forward to it all week.
I still love the valentine you and your son made – so cute!!
I’ve been wandering around asking random friends if they like Twinkies (I don’t, but I assure you I am not a cyborg) and debating if I should make your Valentine’s version. Besides that I made 2 Valentine’s baskets, an Ombre Cake, and and am playing Cupid’s helper all weekend.
wow…your husband sounds incredible…seriously…can he come teach my husband how to be more like him?
I’m thinking of ways get my husband to read your post “by accident” and maybe pick up some pointers :)
Mmmm frosted strawberry pop tarts are my favorite!
This week I went to Disneyland, every single day!! It was fun, next week I will be sleeping…. a lot.
I love your blog! Great ideas! I’m jut breaking into blogging too. Tell me what you think… http://www.amandamsherman.wordpress.com. Thanks!
Love your comments on the creepy movie and taking little kids. As a mother with kids ranging from 24 to 5, I totally agree with you. I imagine those little kids ending up on some water tower in the future.
