As always, I was really busy this week.
I baked. I ate.
I jumped out of my son’s closet wearing his old Halloween mask. He didn’t like it. At all.
And I went to Joshua Creek Ranch in Texas to see my friend Georgia Pellegrini, where this happened:

And this happened…

(Shelly from Cookies and Cups, Bridget from Bake at 350 and ME)
Can you tell how much we love hanging out with each other? You will never find two sweeter, more fun girls to be around.
This also happened:

(Dara from Cookin’ Canuck and me)
Bridget, Shelly and I did a cookie decorating demo. Isn’t Dara too cute? She was so so sweet and I’m so glad I got to meet her.
Aaaaaannnd…this sort of happened:

(Please ignore the fact that I’m not even looking at the camera. Maybe someone was talking to me or something…have you ever been in a room full of bloggers? OMG NOISY)
When I first saw Bakerella at the ranch, I was all “oh, what’s your blog again?? I’m gonna have to check that out some day, sounds cute..” but mentally I was hoping and praying she didn’t remember the stalker emails I sent her when I first started blogging.
The emails that had the subject title: You are the wind beneath my wings and also I love you but not as much as I love my husband but really really close
Then Shelly and I spent the weekend doing Ashton and Demi impersonations and downloading fart apps on our phones to set off at any awkward pause. So, any hopes I had of an ongoing friendship with my blog hero are probably dashed.
Anyways.
We had a ton of fun, and Joshua Creek was a really beautiful place. The staff was so nice, the food was amazing, and the gorgeous Georgia was such a generous and gracious host.

I should also mention that she has a book available for preorder, which I was able to preview and it’s really great. I’m not much of an outdoorsey girl myself, but I certainly appreciated her perspective and she really has a lot of REALLY cool experiences to share.
I want to say a big huge thank you to all the fun blogger friends (both old friends, and new ones) I got to hang out with, for making it such a fun time!! I enjoyed all of you so much.
(thanks to Shelly, Angie, and Lori for the photos…the ones I took sucked. Bad.)
Now.
I know this is a shocker, but I managed to squeeze even MORE stuff into my week ( I knooowww…how am I not a robot, right?)

I made pie and tried to talk my husband into learning to ride a unicycle.

I shared the contents of my purse (it’s 95% lipgloss and 5% actual important stuff).

I made Christmasey Crunch Bars. Two ingredients. I make these in my sleep.

Sometimes people buy presents for people who love books. If you’re such a person, and need ideas, I’m sharing them HERE.
As you can probably tell, I’m now super exhausted. I’m going to go collapse on the couch and watch all my DVR’d episodes of Dr. Phil so I can focus all my remaining energy on judging people.
I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

Kristan, you are so darn cute…and spunky…and amazingly talented. It was such a pleasure to meet and spend the weekend with you. We need a Girl Hunter weekend every couple of months.
Oh how fun this looks! As for meeting Bakerella, that cracks me up! I really enjoy your blog. And I need to make that Grasshopper Pie, pronto.
Oh, I really, really LOVED seeing you again….I hope it’s not another 11 months until I get the pleasure of your sparkly company again. Maybe you, Shelly and I can make those cookie demos a traveling act? What do you think?
Hugs from Texas….you come back to the Lone Star State ANY time!!!
I love your honesty, I love your talent, I don’t love you anywhere close to my husband (hehe) and I love your sense of humor!
Fun is right! Never a dull moment with you around:) Now, to catch up on your treats…
You all look like a fun group of girls to hang out with. (in an NON-stalker kinda way)
Looks like y’all had tons of fun. Great pics.
Love the recap. You really had to put the fart app out there?! :)
Looks like a great time! I love the pic of everyone on the wagon…that’s a lot of blogger baby!
I love your Friday posts. Just LOVE them. Thank you for always giving me a great laugh to start the weekend. Happy Friday!
Joshua Creek Ranch is only like an hour away from where I live (which is pretty much neighbors in Texas)… glad to hear you had a blast!
Awww, you all are so cute!! I’m super jealous that you all got to hang out without me. I guess your other posts containing sweets will have to make up for it for now. ;-)
Um, OMG! i’m pretty jealous of your weekend – it looks like you had a fabulous time. I hope that’s not the first time you’ve shot a gun – you’re from Arkansas girl! Represent!
Fun recap love! Miss you and all your sparkle! xo
Hilarious!! Such a fun re-cap to such a great weekend. Girl you are even more of a kick in person. Hope to see you again soon. xo
