Friday Fun!! Friday Fun!!

This week, lots of things happened.

I made desserts.

I ate desserts.

I drank a chocolate drink with alcohol in it.

And I finally watched Paranormal Activity 2 (2, not 3..yet)  and almost died.

For those of you who may have missed a post or three, lets do a quick run down:

I made Almond Joy Cocktails for  my other site.  And since I needed to photograph this  in the afternoon…I made this in the afternoon…and drank it in the afternoon.  It was a good day.  But I was kind of tired by dinnertime.

I shared a quick and easy cinnamon roll recipe…and said the word “shart” in my post.  Then a reader left a comment that she didn’t know what a shart was so she Googled it…and she recommends that no one EVER do that.  EVER.

EVER!!!!!

Are you watching American Horror?  It’s not for the faint of heart, but Oh Em Gee it’s getting SOOOOO good.  Like a mini scary movie every week!!  I’m doing weekly recaps HERE but I got busy and missed a week, so THIS post recaps the third and fourth episodes.  If you’re watching, I’d LOVE to hear your theories on what’s happening!!

I know that Halloween is over, but it’s still Fall, which means that Caramel Apple Cheesecake Cupcakes are totally appropriate.  And by appropriate, I mean that you should eat them for breakfast (apples=fruit…cream cheese=dairy…).

And this is the post I hope my husband nevah evah sees, because I talk about my addiction to Too Faced Eyeshadows.  They are not cheap.  But I love them and I hoard them and hope that he never investigates what they cost.

One of my favorite candy bars got married to a pan of brownies and had a baby!!  In my world, this is normal.

Do you love Sprinkle Bakes as much as I do?  Probably not, because I adore her to the ends of the earth and I’m basically an expert at adoring, but if you’re smart you’re right behind me.  Well guess what?  For THIS POST, she gave me a peek inside her purse!!  I love being nosy, don’t you?

See how busy I’ve been?  I can hardly even believe I’m a real human and not a robot!!  What about you, have you been a robot this week too?

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!  Thanks for reading!!

Thanks for reading!! I put lots of love into this post, so if you enjoyed it, please leave a comment, share, or subscribe. (As you can probably tell, I'm in constant need of validation, so this keeps me from questioning my self worth and crying into a box of wine) If, by some chance, you didn't enjoy the post, take it up with my personal zombie ninja.
About Kristan
I’m a proud housewife with a son in the second grade and a sweet baby girl. Like most little boys, my son funny and cute but a little weird. Which only makes me love him more. And the baby? Well...I know she'll sleep eventually. If I could, I would paint my life pink, sprinkle it with glitter, and give everyone a cupcake.

Ha, I love that you made the drink in the afternoon in order to have good shooting light. Oh, the life of a food blogger, lol.

I’m exhausted for you! This week I bought myself a birthday present…bodywork on our van. Thanks to the neighbor dog who jumped out in from of me. Wearing a sweater. I thought he was a kid! GAHHHHHHHH!

So, I thought of you all afternoon yesterday as I made a Jack Skellington birthday cake for someone. I was pretty impressed with how it turned out, but all I could think was, Kristan totally needs to see this! lol! Thanks for all your fun posts — you help me make it through the day!

I LOOOOVVVEEE reading your blog! It makes me smile, and laugh out out, making people-usually my two cats- question my sanity! I share your addiction for American Horror Story-LOVE IT!!!! Your off beat sense of humor, makes me pretty sure that we were seperated at birth, as I swear that you think just like me- carmel apple cheesecake IS perfect for breakfast!! Keep your awesome ideas and your quirky fun loving style coming, I’ll be here waiting! (not like that weird latex guy in AHS either!!) Have a great weekend!!

That cocktail looks amazing and I think that I might need one this afternoon :) I absolutely love your site (my favorite being your brownie cupcake with the chocolate chip cookie baked in and with the marshmallow icing). Anyways I just thought I’d write you to let you know that Paranormal Activity 2 was the best of the trilogy with the 3rd being similar to the 1st in that nothing really happens for the whole movie. Just incase you are wondering! Keep up all that you do. You are awesome :)

Kristan, I don’t know how you do it! You MUST be a robot. Seriously, people like you, Shelly and Jessica (How Sweet) bowl me over with how many posts you accomplish in a week! I’m a turtle. And a little jealous.

Thank you for all the sweet words. I think I’ve said this before, but – I love you big time!!!

This week has been my first week back to work since I had my second baby (9 months ago)

Monday = work = sister -in-law looking after the kids.
Tuesday = home = cleaning house and looking after the brood.
Wednesday = work = monster-in-law looking after the kids (remember…. take deep breaths)
Thursday = work = kids first day at nursery…. they loved it and are a big hit with the ladies there. Also Great Aunt’s 90th and by the time we picked the kids up and got there it was 6:30pm :-/
Today = holiday day to look after kids = PJ’s because the weather is poo!
Tomorrow = baking cupcakes and playing with the kids.
Sunday = driving to Wales (3hrs away) for my Grandads 70th birthday with kids and said cupcakes.

Monday = it will all start again!

Well, this is a very BIG week for me, because I have my first muay thai kickboxing fight tomorrow in front of hundreds of people. I’ve been training for years for this opportunity, but something always happened to my coaches whenever I got close to stepping in the ring.

I’ll be excited, nervous, and very much looking forward to eating a carbohydrate again after my weigh-in tonight.

Thanks for all the wonderful, light-hearted, funny posts that have kept me company while I ate my salads, and kept my mind off the competition ahead. Very glad I found you! And looking forward to trying your blueberry breakfast cookies.

So… just sayin’ I’m pregnant and one of my biggest cravings has been caramel apples lately! It’s completely normal to have these for breakfast, right?! :) Your blog is sooooo dangerous for me. I run out and want to make everything you feature. you just make everything sound more fun! LOVE reading your blog and if you ever come up with a fun way to fuse caramel apple with chocolate or just make a caramel hot chocolate, I’d be your biggest fan (bc I think that I’m an expert in fan levels, too)! haha Have a good weekend, Kristan!

Fantastic recap, but I never miss a post. I wanted to tell you that I made a version of your “brains in a jar” only used cornbread on the bottom, meatloaf and mashed potatoes piped w/ swiggles on top for Halloween dinner – it was a HUGE hit!!! I too adore two faced makeup – they have a GREAT bronzer and primer as well. Last year I got all the office gals one of their “two faced to go” sets which are eyeshadows, lip gloss, blush, mirror in one and you would have think they got a GIANT raise. It doesn’t take much to make us women happy. Have a fantastic weekend.
