Friday Fun!! Friday Fun!!
What up, home skillet, it’s Friday again!!
This week, I was super busy doing lots of things.
I baked.
I ate.
I watched TV.
I got all up in the internets.
And I bought sparkly leg warmers at The Icing because apparently, deep down I am a 12 year old.
Let’s review. You know, in case you missed something important.
I made Muddy Buddy Cookie Dough Truffles. If fairies and unicorns got together and created the world’s most magical treat, it would probably taste like this. So don’t miss out.
Are you watching American Horror yet? Say yes say yes because OMG I need people to talk about it with me!! I shared a recap of episode 5 on That’s What She We Said!
I also made brownies with peanut butter. Everyone in the land likes brownies with peanut butter, it’s basically a rule of life. Also, I talked about Daylight Savings Time. I am a fan, my husband is not…and apparently you guys side with my husband. TRAITORS!!!
Have you even seen such a cute diaper bag in all your born days? Maria from Two Peas and Their Pod gave us a peek at what she totes around for Baby Pea. Fact: She’s way more organized that I ever was.
I made Pumpkin Bread Pudding. See what I mean about how I’ve been busy? I bet I practically broke a world record!! Except if the Guinness Book people called me I wouldn’t know because I don’t answer my phone. I wonder if they text?
I love cute infinity scarves with flower pins, but sadly the one I wanted on Etsy was like, $40. So I made my own for about seven bucks!! Super easy and no sewing required. Click HERE to see how!!
I did lots of other stuff this week too, like helping senior citizens cross the street performing pro bono brain surgeries, but since I failed to document it by photo, you’ll have to take my word for it.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I realize you could be doing more important things with your time. Like watching the news or washing socks. I hope you stay awhile. Much more fun than socks, I promise.

LOL-you make me smile every day! I would totally buy sparkly leg warmers too, if for no other reason to hide my ‘cankles’. So LOVE the muddy buddy brownies-all I can say is that you have made me a hero in my family’s eyes! Love the pin-love AHS, (so creepy and good!), and I am pretty sure that I am going to love the pumpkin bread pudding! I mean what’s not to love?? It has carmel pecan sauce!! Have a great weekend!! =)
Love the flower pin you made….it’s pink and sparkly….my two most favorite things. Hope your weekend is FAB!
That flower is super cute! Will have to check out your AHS recap. LOVE that show!
What a pretty pin – and my favorite color too – bright pink!! I know what I’ll be doing this weekend. Also, I LOVE your recipes – they are right up my alley. Thanks!!
Oh man, I don’t know how you have time to do pro bono brain surgeries, but I admire you for it. Maybe if you suggested some tipping, or perhaps gave your patients an etsy wish list, they can buy you scarves and leg warmers. I don’t think brain surgeons even have to do their own shopping.
I am now officially hooked on American Horror Story also!!!! I dvred all the episodes when they had the marathon recently & watched 3 eps last night. Ill prob finish cathing up later after work woohoo! Needless to say Im recording the series now so I dont ever miss anymore lol
Oh my, how did I miss that bread pudding?? Looks delicious!
Don’t call me home skillet until you send me one of those cute infinity scarves. ‘Nuff said. ;)
OMG! You make me smile every time I visit this page. I cannot WAIT to make that bread pudding and the muddy buddy truffles have me practically DROOLING!! Thanks for being a bright spot in my otherwise mundane week. :)
You are so incredibly funny. I am sitting here truly laughing out loud, wondering when my littles will come in and think that I have lost my mind. This Friday was already great. Reading your post just made it even better. Thank you for giving me a hearty laugh for the day!
These look so good and I have everything to make them! Guess what I am doing tomorrow.
You crack me up! I wish had even half as much wit as you.
Deep down, I am a 12 year old too… This week I actually bought mittens on etsy which have the string on them! Not to mention anything glittery catches my eye, and you *might* find a video of me in a tutu somewhere on my blog.
Thanks for sharing your week; looking forward to seeing what the next one will bring.
Happy Friday! So glad you like my diaper bag:) Thanks again for the feature!
Oh girl! Last weekend while I was gettin my crafty on…I marathoned American Horror on my laptop…Had to wear my headphones so the 7, 10, and 14 year old could not hear (they do not like scary at all). I AM SOOO hooked! Is it so wrong to be enamored of something so well, not right? I love that it is not super gory, and not all dumb “Why would you go into the basement when the light is not working??!! ” story line you normally come across. I still don’t quite get what’s up with the maid…hope we get more info about her deal.
Thanks for the heads up.
Oh yeah…I went back to the post about the brownies marrying the candy bars…Barry White..snort. I forwarded that post to even all my nonc00king girlfriends. I think they all may have snorted a bit of the coffee/diet coke they were consuming. My 17 year old saw it and said, “Mom.. Please. You bake really well…don’t start ruining it with stories like these. I may not be able to eat.” (We wish! at 6’3″ he’s a bottom feeder of all food items in our house–to the point his 10 year bro has started to hide his food Lol!) My 14 year old daughter/baker and I are still giggling about the post.
You make me want to blog.
