Banana Pudding Milkshake

tag : Banana, Pudding
by : Kristan

As you may remember, I posted a milkshake recipe on my blog last week.

And I sort of had an epiphany.

Because really, my blender is probably the least used appliance in my kitchen.

(Except for sometimes when I make drinks. With stuff that rhymes with Shrum and Modka)

Anyways, it’s been HOT out and I don’t always feel like baking. And who knew that a blender is so dang useful in such a situation?!

Milkshake recipes are so easy to experiment with. It needs a little something? More of this, less of that? You don’t have to wait 20 minutes for it to finish baking to try it out.

Easy. Peasy.

Why haven’t I been making milkshakes this whole time?

Seriously, after coming up with this milkshake recipe, I started rethinking my whole blogging career.

Confessions of a Milkshake Queen? It could totally work.

My milkshake brings all the readers to the yard?  Don’t try to say that isn’t catchy.

(I’ve lost you already, haven’t I?)

A few weeks ago, someone on Facebook mentioned how much they loved Chick Fil A‘s Banana Pudding Milkshake.

I’ve never had one, but I liked the sound of such a concoction. So….I made my own that tastes just like banana pudding.  Not to brag, but mine is probably better than Chick Fil A’s.  Because I honestly cannot imagine a better version than this one.

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup milk

3 TBS instant banana cream pudding MIX

1/2 cup FROZEN whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)

10 vanilla wafers

1 cup vanilla ice cream

Whipped cream, bananas, and vanilla wafers for garnish

Place ingredients in the blender in the order listed above. Blend until well mixed. Pour into a glass and garnish with whipped cream, cookies and banana slices.

Makes one large or two small shakes.

I hope you love this as much as I did.

Unless you hate bananas. And banana pudding. In that case, you’ll hate it.  Sorry.

I hope you have a wonderful Monday!!

I’m a banana hater. But this sounds like such a fun, easy recipe and really simple to adapt to any flavor! Definitely think I need to try this, maybe with coconut or butterscotch pudding! yummmm

I do the same thing, but I also blend a banana and use 2 tbsp of instant vanilla pudding instead. You are right, it is an awesome concoction :)

I think Milkshake Queen sounds good! I never ever use my blender. It’s sitting in my pantry right next to the quesadilla make that I thought I couldn’t live without ;)

My boys (hubby & eldest son) would love these!!

We haven’t got instant banana cream ppudding mix here (uk) but I think banana angel delight would work just as well :-)

    Gonna test this bad boy!!!

Since I am an expert on ALL things Chick-fil-A, I think you should come to my house and make me one of YOUR banana pudding milkshakes and then I will tell you if it is better than Chick-fil-A’s version.

I wish you would have posted this two days ago when I was driving through your home state and I would have stopped by your house to save you the trip! ;D
