I’m going to be honest with you.
This post is what I like to call a fauxst. As in…faux post.
And what a fauxst looks like is this–old links and pictures sprinkled with a teensy bit of new content (typed sentences) in the guise of something totally new. A fauxst is usually because the blogger in question has been busy and wanted to get some new content up but didn’t have the time for a new recipe/photo editing.
Which is the case with me today.
But if you bear with me and act super excited about this post like it’s all totally new! and so fun! and not just a regurgitation of old ideas, I promise that next week will be full of awesome new recipes.
Also, I’m not sure that regurgitation is a) even a real word or b) spelled correctly.
So….need a quick and easy recipe for Father’s Day? Here are some man friendly treats that can be whipped up in a flash.
These Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Brownies are loved and celebrated by dads across the land. Probably.
If the mini M&Ms are too cutesy for your man, leave them out or use chocolate chips instead.
Okay, that was a lie. Sorry…sometimes I just say things and I have no idea why.
Don’t be fooled by the schmancy chocolate dripping down the sides of the cake…this is actually quite easy to do.
Don’t mind if I do.
Oooops, what I meant to say was, “I made these for you, honey…Happy Father’s Day!! (now give me a brownie)”.
Dad needs to eat breakfast, right? How about German Chocolate Muffins?
Pink high heel mug is totally optional, but I’d forgo it if I were you.
Last but not least, these Almond Joy Brownie Bites, which are so manly and dad-ish that they’ve been known to tighten bolts and nail things with a hammer AND play catch with my son outside.
Actually these aren’t very manly at all, but they sure are delicious.
I hope this gave you some inspiration to get your Father’s Day bake on!!
(Now is the part where you act like this isn’t a fauxst, but a totally new and cool post that I worked super hard at)
Have a wonderful Father’s Day!!
P.S. When my husband reads this (which I know he will because he always does) I want him to know that I love him very much!! Thanks for being such an awesome father and husband. And thanks for being good at back rubs and sending flowers and not asking why I like to talk like a robot sometimes. We are lucky to have you!!
