Parum Pum Pum
It’s not very often that I get excited about children’s toys.
However–a few months ago, I embarked on a quest to find a special set of blocks that my son was crazy about.
And of course, I ended up finding the blocks at Target (isn’t that where all cool stuff goes to live?) and found out that they were called Bristle Blocks, and this particular set was made by a company called B.
Yes, B.
As I started reading the tags that were attached to the set of blocks, I became very interested in the B. company.
Okay, that was an understatement. I fell in love with them.
Partly because I love the colors that they use for their products, and their attention to detail. They make the most ordinary things so fun and creative, and if you know me at all, you know that I LOVE that.
But the thing I really loved is this–their products are really about kids.
Not just getting kids to want to buy their toys.
This company really focuses on and celebrates the creativity, magic, and fun that makes children so special. This company realizes that children are our legacy.
Our gift.
Therefor, they focus on creating toys that will help raise creative, intelligent, generous, kind, and happy kids.
Every toy is accompanied by a little booklet of hilarious and thought-provoking kids’ quotes, reminding us how thoughtful and funny our little one’s can be.
And all of their toy packaging is not only gorgeous, but eco-friendly. The packages themselves are recycled and recyclable, and any inks used are soy based.
I recently contacted B. about their products, wanting to know if I could do a review for them. I know that they are a fairly new company, and I wanted to share their toys with my readers over the holidays.
The response I received from B. was very enthusiastic. They were very kind and thoughtful, and were extremely appreciative of the fact that I wanted to share how much I loved their toys.
And they sent me this:
The Parum Pum Pum, which is a drum with a big handle and strap, that comes with and serves as storage for:
Silly centipede drumsticks
Jingle bells ant
Busy bee maraca and clacker
Cute caterpillar tambourine
Two shaka-shaka eggs
I was a bit worried that my 6 year old son would be too old to be interested in this, but I was wrong.
He was on it immediately.
And yes, we are talking about the same kid who only wants to wear black clothes with skulls and flames on them.
The first thing I thought was how great the quality of this toy was. Each instrument is shaped like a cute animal, and the colors are bright and fun. I LOVED that they all stored inside drum.
And I get that we aren’t always crazy about giving our kids “loud toys”. But something like this inspires creativity, and I really love to encourage that, even if it costs me a few moments of my sanity.
Priorities, people.
B. Products are most widely available at Target and on Amazon.com. Target is currently sold out of the drum, but you can order it on Amazon for $33.
They have so many great products ranging from Bristle Blocks, Jungle Jam, You Hue, and the Sugar Chute….just to name a few.

Thanks again to B. for letting me share their products with my readers. I hope you guys keep them in mind next time you need a gift for a special kid in your life.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I realize you could be doing more important things with your time. Like watching the news or washing socks. I hope you stay awhile. Much more fun than socks, I promise.

WOW!! I have a feeling my 5 year old would love that as much as my 1 year old… great product!!
Those are adorable, I have a 7 mth old godson I haven't bought Christmas for. I love toys that don't turn our kids into drones….as both of mine are glued to a Pokemon movie.LOL
Love, Love this company. My son has the drum, the squeeze blocks, the Time Square Activity block, and the cute set of cars. The drum is broke now, but only because he chose to use the drum sticks to beat everything but the drum and since he no longer had the sticks, he would stand on the drum. (He's only 2) I definitely plan to keep buying from this company.
Thanks for this post. I actually picked up the "Funkeys" at Target the other day. The packaging and colors really caught my eye. I ALMOST got the cars too, but my son is only 9 mos and I've bought too much for his first Christmas as it is!! I am in love with the drum set now and hopefully that will be something good to pick up for next Christmas. By the way, I just discovered your blog when you guest blogged at the girl who ate everything. I love your blog…it's one of my favorites now.
Cute stuff!
I've been following your blog for a few months, but haven't ever commented, but I have to say I love this company too!
My daughter has their cars, their "Funkeys" (she was trying to play with my car keys and set off our car alarm so I got a set of keys just for her), and the Parum Pum Pum drum.
I really respect everything you listed about B., especially about their eco-friendly packaging– the package for the "Funkeys" can be used as it's own gift wrap– they really are a "thinking" company!
I purchased 2 of these drums at the end of November for my two sons (3.5 and 18 months)for Christmas. I got them at BJ's wholesale Club for $16.99. Everytime I went to Target my older son would put the drum around his neck and drum with his hands throughout the store. He kept asking me if I wanted a drum roll everytime I put something in the cart.:O)
I never heard of this brand until now. I love what they sent you!
Just found your site, very cute! My husband and I bought this drum set for our 1 year old son this year at Target. He loves it!! Their products are super adorable. We also like the zany zoo from Target. Too young for your 6 year old son, but perfect for our toddler.
